at bit chew.
Nitrogen
blocks

your cues.
Calcium
in bones
that break

through.
Oxygen without
which
you will

turn blue.
Your mornings
and wakes
and every last

breath
and step
echo
the shock

wave of a long
drawn
degeneration
and a sudden

total
collapse.
This burst core
in time,

this bare beat in
vein, this spectral
pulse
of life, this death.
