note to archipelago

archipelago is inspired by, and loosely based on a viewing of Galápagos, a three-part documentary that was originally made for the BBC that first aired in September 2006. The series is produced by Michael Gunton and Patrick Morris, narrated by Tilda Swinton and photographed by Paul Stewart, Richard Wollocombe, Barrie Britton and Peter Scoones.
i caught a rerun in July 2011 on Nat Geo Wild. This is the US version produced by Gail Willumsen and Jill Shinefield. It is written by Gail Willumsen and narrated by Tom Hewitt.
As far as possible these credits are accurate.
While the documentary served as a starting point, it was my intention that the thrust of the poem extends beyond it.
